ALL ABOUT ME

MY STORY

A Southern Belle living her dreams in NYC

I’m Sharaé Moultrie, a NYC-based actor, singer, and model. I’ve performed on stages around the world in roles like Deena Jones (Dreamgirls, International Tour), Aida (Aida), Ariel (Footloose), Rizzo (Grease), and Nettie (The Color Purple). I'm currently playing Marianne Laine in the First National Tour of the Broadway musical Girl From the North Country.

So how did I get here? Long story short, my passion for singing began in church at a young age. My introduction to musical theatre came in high school. And my love for the stage grew with every performance I had in my hometown of Conway, SC. However, despite my love for performing, I initially pursued a career in finance (yes, finance). Shortly after graduating from the University of South Carolina, I moved to NYC to work in banking. I soon realized that I missed the thrill of being onstage. I eventually transitioned from banking to the nonprofit world which gave me the flexibility I needed to weave music and theater into my life.

In 2022, I took a giant leap of faith and left the safety net of my nonprofit job to pursue performing full-time (best decision ever). From playing iconic leading roles worldwide to on-camera magic in commercials and TV shows like FBI: Most Wanted and Blue Bloods, my journey has been an amazing one. And I know that the best is yet to come!
